...Firstly, our website has been redone in html5, which means it looks like Flash, but it will run on any device and hopefully load up lightning fast. Thanks to the people at cubender.com for that very valuable update. We will now be adding our new stock to the webSIte on a weekly basis. If you would like updates by email send us your address and we will add you to our list.

...If any of you (7 million apparently) managed to catch The Apprentice a few weeks ago, they did a show based on upcycling. You may have noticed that they chose to film it in our space in The Old Cinema and you can see lots of our upcycled machines surrounding the teams at the discussion table. You can have a look at a video clip below.

...The bronze plating, which we have been workign on for almost a year now, is now looking fantasic. It has taken us a while to perfect the process, and we are quite confident that no one else can replicate the method. It is quite labour intensive, but we have managed to get a beautifully aged and patinated bronze onto any kind of metal. This means we can accept special orders for plating on any of our polished steel furniture.

...We have moved to a new space in The Old Cinema. We are now at the front on the right after you pass the till. Come along and have a look.

NEWS.

We source, restore, upcylcle, reinvent and reinterpret furniture for all types of sources, from stately homes to disused factories. We search out purity and simplicity in design regardless of period or social origin, and we blend styles together without conflict. Subtlety, simplicity, purity and value. Every era produces its gems, and we love to search them out. Alongside our extensive network of worldwide sources, the bredth of our experience allows us to offer you an all-encompassing search service. We can find you anything that you are looking for.

Our 20th century selection has included many iconic pieces, ranging from 17th century seaweed marquetry to a 1970s Paul Evans Cityscape Executive desk. We create new function for 20th century industrial furniture when we find items of fine original design. Sometimes we hand plate the steel in bronze for a warmer look, and often we grind and polish interesting factory furniture to a mirror for use in the kitchen, or as bookcases, dining tables, drinks cabinets and whatever else their structure may suggest to us.

We are inspired by the Bauhaus, and the stunning work of Eileen Grey. We love mid-century French, Belgian and German industrial furniture. We indulge in the sci-fi decadence of the finest design work of the 1970's, and we have a strong appreciation for 17th century English oak.

We are keen researchers, and we specialize in seeking out, reimagining, restoring and upcycling machines and intersting artifacts for use in an every day luxurious environment. Recent clients range from Ron Wood to Ralph Lauren. If you are looking for anything in particular do not hesitate to get in touch.
